Hello from San Diego:
As you know, the emc-pstc listserver is operated
by volunteers, two of whom manage the daily work
of subscribing, unusubscribing, and otherwise
maintaining the integrity of our address list.
We're once again looking for a volunteer who can
help us with this job. The job requires daily
review of and response to messages sent by majordomo,
the IEEE listserver application. These messages are
comprised of subscribe requests, unsubscribe
requests, message delivery problem reports,
message bounces, and non-member posting attempts.
We don't need a computer guru, but if you happen
to understand both your own mail system and the
internet mail system, this would be a benefit.
Sometimes, we have to do some sleuthing to deal
with a problem. We do need someone who doesn't
have a message limit to their mail system.
The admin duties require daily (weekday) attention.
We have two such admins that share the work. One
does all of the work when the other cannot.
If you would like to help keep this listserver
going, or would like to learn more about the job,
please send e-mail to one or all of us:
[email protected] (Rich Nute)
[email protected] (Jim Bacher)
[email protected] (Ed Price)
Best wishes for the New Year,
Rich
