Stuart, For the telecoms part, the unit must pass FCC Part 68 and for safety, the relevant requirements of equipment connected to the telecommunication network in the UL60950 Standard for Safety of Information Technology Equipment. The latter is in addition to the safety requirements for the device covered underv the Standard for Medical Equipment, UL2601-1.
