We are testing a comm line for 61000-4-5 and are using a laptop PC for support equipment (EUT will be talking to the PC). Do any of you know what could be used to isolate the PC from the surge being applied to the EUT comm line? Are opto-isolaters typically used for this purpose, and if so, can anyone suggest a make/model for one of these?
