David You are correct. If the worst case configurations (they may be different for emission and immunity) are demonstrated to be compliant by meeting the requirements of the harmonised standards, you can also place the other variants on the market. Your declaration of conformity should cover all the variants.
You should document your reasons for the selection of the variant(s) you have tested, and keep it in your files, in case there is a challenge by enforcement authorities in the future.
