Dear All,
1. Does anyone know the nominal voltage and tolerances for Power Over IP networks as defined in IEEE802.3AF? 2. Since this SELV voltage source can exceed the hazardous energy (more than 240 VA) levels, for restricted access location (RAL)equipment with means for connection to a power source for IP, is there a need for field wiring compartment as required in the US/Canadian NEC/CEC? I would assume the requirements are relaxed as in is the case for RAL type telecom equipment? PETER S. MERGUERIAN Technical Director I.T.L.
