Paul Hello, I assume your product is ITE with no telecom interfaces. For telecom products the Israel Ministry of Communications is the address. ITL can help in all telecom product approvals.
1. For ITE (no telecoms) , you or importer needs to get in touch with the Israel Ministry of Industry and Trade to see if you could get exemptions for your products from being tested at SII (Standards Institution of Israel). An exemption may be given based on CB Test Reports and EMC test reports from accredited labs. 2. If products need to be tested by SII, the applicable standard is IS1121 which also includes emc. The standard is harmonized with the IEC 950 (third edition as of May of next month). 3. SII cost for getting approval. Cost for full testing could be up to $3000 (safety + emc) but it all depends on the product. 4. ITL can help you process the SII submittal for tests and certification.
