Compliance to the RTTE is required and it references the essential requirements of the EMC and LV Directives and new ones specific to the RTTE. Compliance with the essential requirements of the EMC and LV Directives can be demonstrated by following those directives and harmonized standards. Some but not all standards supporting the essential requirements particular to the RTTE have been published in the OJ.
