Bonjour de Montreal,

I just bought the new version of ANSI C63.4:2000 and I am a little bit confused about the first word used in its title "Interim Standard for Methods of Measurements of Radio-Noise..."

Why is it called Interim? Nothing in the Introduction, Scope or application gives a clue.

Somebody has an idea, or, even better, the answer?

Cordially,
