EIA422 is rated for 4000ft. Neither is "rated" for 100V; CMV or any potential diff tolerance is dependent on the mfr's specs, and the type of isolation used; in general, I tend to use isolation when distance > 5m for anything. Note that potential diff between gnds is also a safety issue.
