Peter, We use Adirondack Wire and Cable for line cords listed to UL1863. Their price is about ½ of what we used to pay for non-listed cords. They are located at 160 Hamlet Ave. Woonsocket RI 02895. Their phone is 401-769-1600. Since you are located in Israel this may not be the best source for you.
You can access the UL website and find every company that makes products listed to UL1863. I would imagine that you could either find one located in Israel or at least closer than the United States. Here is how to get the information from the UL website for products listed/recognized to any UL Standard: 1. Go to www.ul.com/database/index.htm 2. Click on UL Category Control Number (CCN) / Guide Information 3. Enter the UL Standard (in your case UL1863) in the Keyword Search within Guide Information Only search box and click on search 4. The search in this case will return information on the Guide for Communication Circuit Accessories. The Category Control Number for Communication Circuit Accessories will be shown at the far right hand side of the screen in the format of DUXR.GuideInfo. In this case it indicates that the Category Control Number (CCN) for Communication Circuit Accessories is DUXR. 5. Go back one page to where you entered the UL1863 search term (use the back button on your browser). Erase the UL1863 search term from the Keyword Search within Guide Information Only search box and enter the Category Control Number, in this case DUXR, into the top search box labeled Category Control Number (CCN) and then click on search. 6. This search will return every company that makes products listed to UL1863. If you click on the area to the right of each company under the heading of "Link to File" it will bring up the listing for that company. >From here I would look for items that appear to be line cords or cord sets. In some cases they will be listed by these names and in other cases only by the company's part number. It does list the address of each company so you will be able weed out the ones in Israel and contact them to see if they have what you need. NOTE: You can also refine the search from this page that lists all of the companies. Click on Refine Your Search and you can enter the country and it will return only companies located in that country. When I did this search there was a total of 21 pages of information from 307 companies. When I refined the search to Israel only it came up with only one company as follows: RIT TECHNOLOGIES LTD 24 RAOUL WALENBERG ST TEL AVIV 69710, ISRAEL. The listing for this company only shows connectors and not line cords so they may not have what you are looking for. If they don't hopefully another company in your part of the world will have what you are looking for. Hope you find what you are looking for, Kurt Andrews Compliance Engineer Tracewell Systems, Inc. 567 Enterprise Drive Westerville, Ohio 43081 voice: 614.846.6175 toll free: 800.848.4525 fax: 614.846.7791 http://www.tracewellsystems.com/ <http://www.tracewellsystems.com/> -----Original Message----- From: Peter Merguerian [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 08, 2001 9:47 AM To: "EMC-PSTC (E-mail)" < Subject: Telephone Line Cords Hello Group, Can someone recommend a good source for telephone cords listed under Communication Circuit Accessories (UL1863) with conectors at both ends.
