I would like to bounce something off the group.
What are the complications of self-declaration without an independent test lab being involved? Very Simply said the way I understand it: 1. You need calibrated test equipment and facilities to do the tests required for your product. 1.1. Except for Radiated Immunity and Emissions what calibration is required of a facility if any. 1.2. You will need a good Horizontal and Vertical ground plane for IEC 61000-4-4, -5, -6 but Shielded room not necessarily required. True? 2. Well-documented procedures and test reports Per ISO 9000 controls. I understand there is a lot said in the above but is there anything requiring an outside lab? Best regards, Terry J.
