Basically IRAM has the monopol on the Argentina market unitl beginning of last year. At that time the government implemented this new safety regulation law, which was implemented in three phases. During this process other certification bodies such as TUV Rheinland received the accreditiation to issue the new Argentina S-Mark. Basicallly the requirements are the same like for the German GS-Mark: Type approval + annual FI. In the standards there are small deviations, mostly regarding plug, user manual, ....
Practically TUV Rheinland can issue GS-Mark and the Argentina S-Mark in one testrun and with one FI.
