I read in !emc-pstc that Muriel Bittencourt de Liz <[email protected]> wrote (in <[email protected]>) about 'Medical Equipment Compliance', on Mon, 3 Dec 2001: >I'd like to know what EMC Standards are used for compliance of medical >equipment >in Europe. > >I've already know that IEC 60601-1 and CISPR 11 (ISM equipment) are applicable >standards. Is there any additional standard that does apply?
You should use EN60601-1 and EN55011, because these standards are NOT necessarily quite identical to the IEC standards. EN61000-3-2 and EN61000-3-3 may also apply. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only. http://www.jmwa.demon.co.uk After swimming across the Hellespont, I felt like a Hero. ------------------------------------------- This message is from the IEEE EMC Society Product Safety Technical Committee emc-pstc discussion list.
