It may depend on the product, but I can offer what our experience has been.
Our offices around the Asia-Pacific region usually approach the question
from the point of view of wire line telecom equipment and not from the
non-telecom ITE context.
With that said, as far as we know there is no requirement for separate EMC
certification in any of these markets. In some, when we prepare a client's
telecom approval package we'll include an EMC report (against CISPR22 or a
variant) for reference, but it's only for reference in these markets.
