Joe,

Being in a hot tub is a good example of water + electricity mix. However,
this can be a bad example when the hot tub has not been designed properly. 

There have been many cases where high power pumps have been used and the
tremendous energy had sucked  a person's long hair through the water inlet
and caused the person to drown. There have also been cases where people have
been killed in a hot tub due to electric shock caused by improper metal to
metal bonding and improper earthing. 

 However, owning a hot tub is part of every family's dream and please make
sure that in addition to the regulating thermostat (set to about 43 deg C
+/- 2 deg C, the spa has a limiting thermsostat set to max. 50 deg C +/- 2
deg C or else......
