US/FCC - GPS: I have been told (from competent sources) that "receivers below 30 MHz and above 960 MHz are exempt from equipment authorization rules" and "since it operates above 960 MHz it is exempt from Part 15 requirements".
So, What's correct ? Does Part 15 apply ? As for a receiver you need to have it approved to FCC Part 15 Class B. These devices are just receivers and would be treated the same as a walkman. AS for exporting to Brazil if you send me an E-mail I can give you information on a company that specializes in this area.
