Hi all, Which EMC standard do apply for Residual current monitors (earth fault monitor)?
Electrical safety is covered by the harmonized LVD standard EN62020:1998/IEC62020:1998 Electrical accessories - Residual current monitors for household and similar uses (RCMs). In IEC62020:1998 they refer to an EMC standard called IEC61543, but that standard is "under consideration" as it says in the IEC62020. Maybe we should use it and discuss with a Notified Body if IEC61543 covers all essential requirements in the EMCD.
