Hi Folks (and I have read some of the subsequent posts on this subject) Surely, notification in the OJ is rather irrelevant to a CB certificate - which is a cert to the basic IEC, not the EN, and is for worldwide use! Therefore if the IEC CB has already adopted that underlying latest IEC 61010-1 standard as being acceptable as a basis for CB certs, then the enginer should issue the CB certificate to the latter (not the EN version).
I do grant you that a CB certificate to a non-OJ notified standard might cause you some problems within the EU - and the engineer in question should probably point that out. Or have I got something wrong somewhere? (I don't think so).
