Folks, I've been searching all afternoon for recent news on halogen flame retardent regulation in the EU. I'm beginning to think that other than brominated flame retardents, there really is not much current concern and the risks involved with accelerated fire spread (over that with halogenated flame retardents) outweigh the environmental concerns from chemical release during burning or recycling. (I'm trying to make a decision on wire insulation specificaitons)
Does anyone know where the WEEE and/or EEE is headed in this regard? The last official info I could find was April 2000.
