Zohar - IEC60825-2 is the standard for fiber optic systems; the transceiver itself must comply with IEC60825-1.

You should also become familiar with the reporting requirements in Part 1002, notification requirements in Part 1003, importation requirements in Part 1005, and the general performance requirements in Part 1010.
