Yup, I agree. Although I have been known when it was just dirt cheap and
quick to throw the cables into a trench and run a test, just to avoid a
question. My somewhat cynical side says, that most reports quick a quick
once-over until the reader finds any anomaly - no matter how small. Then it
gets put into another file for further review and a chance to find other
errors.
Do make certain that you won't have to use any of the metallic sheathed
cable
that is occasionally called out for environmental protection and to avoid
rodents (telemarketers etc) chewing their way through the cable.

Can you see any mechanism by which they would emit EM radiation below
400 GHz, or conduct it, or lack immunity to it?
You don't have to do tests that are clearly not sensible.
