Peter -

Many of the interfaces have organizations that support them.
For instance, try

http://www.usb.org/developers/docs/usb_20.zip

USB has safety built into the standard, in terms of LPS, per
IEC60950-1, et al. The USB spec. is free. I think the
firewire (IEEE 1394) standard also has limitations built in,
but that standard has to be purchased.

http://www.pcmcia.org/pccardstandard.htm gives an overview
of the pc card standard, but you'll have to purchase the
standard to find out any other details. (Look at the
sidebar menu under "Technology" for variant interfaces.)

Dear All,
I am looking for a source that specifies the maximum
voltage, current and VA which may be drawn from various
standard SELV interfaces, like the AUI port of the network
termination card on a computer.
Thanks
