Hello to all, I am seeking information, such as articles, books, and expert advice on designing products, particularly switched mode power supplies, for lightning protection. I am also interested in testing products for lightning protection and I would also be appreciative of reading material and advice on how to reliably test for lightning induced failures. I have had the experience of successful testing of products for high energy surges and subsequently finding that some of those products fail in the field. I have also found that where the "field" is has a significant impact on failure rates. Malaysia seems to be one place where lightning protection circuits seem to have higher failure rates than most other places.
Thanks, in advance, for your help. Ernie Wittenbreder Technical Witts, Inc. Flagstaff, AZ This message is from the IEEE EMC Society Product Safety Technical Committee emc-pstc discussion list.
