I read in !emc-pstc that Brian Epstein <[email protected]> wrote (in <[email protected]>) about 'harmonics testing' on Fri, 23 May 2003:
>That raises and interesting question. The components are not in a rack or >case, they are tabletop mounted. I would think that systems on a tabletop >would be less in need of being tested as a whole, but para 6.3 doesn't say >that. Once again, you need to refer to the definition of 'system'. If the components are marketed as one item of commerce, they are tested together and one CE mark (in theory), and one DOC are required. If they are marketed as separate items, each requires a DOC and a CE mark, and they are tested separately. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only. http://www.jmwa.demon.co.uk Interested in professional sound reinforcement and distribution?
