Hi all. In a similar situation to the thread headed Production Line Hi-Pot Test, I am advising on improving EMC on a product for the UK rail environment. This must pass a 1000Vdc 'voltage proof' test, and I would like to connect varistors where this test has to be applied.
Has anybody had experience with temporary disconnection of protection components during this test, as to whether this is an allowable practice?
