I think Gert meant to say 17025 standard...

Subject: RE: EMC Precompliance system
I would not opt for a pre compliance kit, but buy a good
receiver and suitable antenna (compliance)and
any accessoires you need for testing separately.
Getting consistent results is already difficult with
compliant equipment, let alone using pre compliance sets.
If I have to choose between R&S and Agilent, I would choose
the manufacturer that has shown to committ itself to the EMC measurement
market.
Make sure however, that you keep the manuals in a safe. R&S have the
habit of not selling manuals for long time after sales has ceased,
nor making them available on the web. With the current upgrade rates
that could be faster then you want.
I have spent over 6 months locating a mnaual for an older ESVP
receiver. The receivers live mich longer then their manuals...
BTW the difference in precompliance can be difficult to
establish. Habitudes in EMC are using compliant equipment and
test set ups.
Current development is f.a ISO 10725 tend to allow for any set up
if calibration and establishemnt of measurement errors is feasible
and done. This would release us from compliant / non-compliant
differences....

Subject: EMC Precompliance system
Hello All,
I am thinking of getting an EMC precompliance system for debugging, and I
have come to two system, one from Agilent (84115EM)and another from Rohde &
Schwarz (Precompliance kits: with Receiver ESPI3, up to 3GHz)
Any experience in regard to following system, recomendation system or what
to look for would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
