The FCC has proposed changing Part 2.948 concerning lab accreditation. The
current rules do not require accreditation for labs testing products under
the certification route, but the new rules add the accrediation requirements
for the certification route and change them for the DoC route.

I think the FCC really screwed this one up since they provided no
justification whatsoever for requiring accreditation for the certification
route. If your lab, like ours, is affected, you have 30 days from
publication to respond to the proposal.
