This subject is also close to the top of my list of things to investigate... I've recently priced out a "professional" coupling network and to my surprise it weighed in with a hefty 10k (canadian) price tag. Does anyone have any reference designs for their own home grown solutions that they would be willing to share, or suggestions for manufacturers of surge coupling networks that may be more reasonably priced? I just have a hard time beleiveing that a passive surge coupling unit could be anywhere near ten thousand dollars complex... What is the simplest way to couple Surge pulses (EN 61000-4-5) with telecomunication lines? I haven't got proffesional coupling network. And the second question, what is the simplest way to measure voltage of disturbances from telecomunication lines without proffesional ISN? Thank You for answers.
