These standards describe a mathematical procedure to allow you to calculate the sound power level from measurements of the sound pressure. In the context of the machinery directive you only need to do this if the equivalent continuous a-weighted sound pressure level at workstations exceeds 85dB(A). Otherwise, don't worry about it. Tip - buy the ISO standards on-line from the ISO web store. They are marginally more expensive but you get the vastly more convenient PDF versions and you can have them now rather than when the postal service decide to deliver them to you.
