John et al. Thanks for your observations. If I understand the new methodology then I (a mnaufacturer) can market as a SYSTEM two pieces of hardware that are independently certified without a retest?
Don't I become a systems integrator? In the "old" days the systems integrator was responsible for the EMC profile. Is that still the case? Hear it, too, no doubt. OTOH, some reputable IT manufacturers are marketing desktop computers not in a complete conducting enclosure, so presumably it is possible to meet emission and immunity limits without one. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only. http://www.jmwa.demon.co.uk Interested in professional sound reinforcement and distribution?
