1) I believe that mil-specs for the US have been privatized but I'm not sure of who is maintaining and updating them. I assume its more than just one of the document re-sellers such as Global Engineering etc, but clueless as to whom else it would be. Can someone direct me. 2) I want to develop some shock and vibration specifications for outsourced components, and rather than just pursuing old copies of request that we have been subjected to from various customers I would like to find some source guidelines on choosing the appropriate levels. It seems like IEC 60085-??? would be appropriate but I don't want to start buying specifications just from the description blurb only to find out that its not really the correct guideline.
