Yes, absent a "NEMA ferrite" that's how it works; everyone selling the same product against each other. When you explain to a manufacturer that "that's a fantastic ferrite -- but I can't use it because there's no other source," they get the idea. It helps if you buy a zillion of them. Of course, if, as a former employer did, you quit making computers and have already BOUGHT a zillion ferrites, you can put them on pegboards n your retail stores.
