The 2nd amendment to CISPR 22:1997 adds the note to the definition of a telecommunications port, adds the definition of a multifunction port and adds text providing guidance on how to test a multifunction port. None of these were changed with the 4th Edition of CISPR 22 was published. It also updated the reference to CISPR 13.
Ghery Pettit Intel Corporation From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John Barnes Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2003 12:00 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Amendment A2:2003 to EN 55022:1998 (Amendment A2:2002 to CISPR22:1997) EMC-PSTC'ers, What does Amendment A2:2003 to EN 55022:1998 (Amendment A2:2002 to CISPR22:1997) cover, or where we can buy it? It was first listed in the Official Journal of the European Union in the July 22, 2003 listing of Harmonized Standards under the EMC Directive (C172 pages 2 to 15). I've checked the web sites for ANSI, IEC, BSI, DECO, Document Center, Global Engineering Documents, Techstreet, and other standards suppliers several times since July without finding this particular amendment. The foreword to CISPR 22:2003 (4th edition) says that it cancels and replaces CISPR 22:1997+A1:2000+A2:2002. I found the following differences between CISPR 22:2003 and CISPR22:1997+A1:2000: * Section 2, Normative references, replaced CISPR 11:1990, CISPR 16-1: 1993, CISPR 16-2:1996, and ISO/IEC 11801:1995 with CISPR 11:1997, CISPR 13:2001, AND CISPR 16-1:1999. * Section 8.2.4, Operation of multifunction equipment, added. * Section 9.5.1.1 changed to section 9.5.1, Methods of conformance testing. * Section 9.5.1.2 deleted. * Section 9.5.2, Impedance stabilization network (ISN), has a number of changes to the description of the properties ( paragraphs c)1) through c)3) changed, c)4) added, e) changed). * C.1.1 added a sentence about calibration. * Many changes to Annex D, Schematic diagrams of examples of impedance stabilization networks. * Bibliography added.
