Hi Colleagues, Our low powered products require to meet the following EMC requirements:
Europe: Self Declaration to EN55022 Class B, EN55024 and EN61000-3-2 (if > 75W). USA/Canada: Verification to FCC Part15 Class A and/or ICES-003 Class A I want to to have a one off test to CISPR 22 Edition 3. I accept that I would need to repeat the tests if 2 different power supplies (unless I have a SMPS 100V-240V/50Hz-60Hz) are involved, but at least it could be done in one visit. Even then, if the power supply is purely a transformer with rectification I would probably only get one power supply tested, if the emission results are good. I have the following queries: 1. Does anyone foresee any problems with testing to CISPR22 Edition 3 only? 2. Am I correct in stating that I do not need to have these tests done at an Accredited Test House? 3. I have now assembled over the years a good EMC test facility that can fully test to CISPR22. I now feel very confident that my EMC results are good enough for self declaration and verification to CISPR22. Also, as my products will be tested to Class B limits, there is an even better confidence that the USA/Canada Class A requirements are easily met and confidently verified. Does anyone foresee any problems in using my own EMC facility for Self Declaration and Verification to CISPR22? I look forward to your expert replies!
