Hi Alex:

Does your product have an RS-232, USB, or similar port for connection to
a computer?  If so, your internal circuits can be tied to ground through
this connection.  In that case, the ground connection available through
that path should be connected to the test circuit ground.

If there is no configuration that introduces a connection to ground
(answering machines are a good example), the ground plane method of Note
4 is used.
