I don't mean to take bread out of our comrades' mouths here (they need
work, too), but if you are interested only in before and after, may I
suggest you use current injection to quantify the effect of modifications?
Having designed and tested to GR-1089, I know it is a real pain (and
expensive, too) to transport and set up large equipment over and over again
for what may be a number of iterative changes. 

And if you need help... I am "between jobs," myself, and available.
