For our Harmonics and Flicker verification  I perform the following:
 
Harmonics:  Using a large value capacitor (47uF or greater)  place it across
the AC output of the reference power source.  Then evaluate the individual
harmonic currents it generates month over month to ensure there are no
changes.  While this does not cover all of the harmonics, you will be able to
verify the system is still providing accurate results.  A base case
immediately after calibration is the best place to start.
 
Flicker:  This is quite simple using a programmable power source.  Lower the
output voltage and observe the Dmax reading changes by the programmed voltage
drop: i.e.: 230V nominal, drop the output voltage to 220.8V and the Dmax
should be 4%.  For the Pst, you can set voltage drops/step functions at the
rates called out in the Flickermeter design specification.  That is, 2.72%
drop/change at once per minute will yield a Pst of 1 after 10 minutes; a 2.21%
voltage drop/change at 2 times per minute will yield a Pst of 1 after 10
minutes.  
I should clarify:
Start the test
After 1 minute drop the voltage by 2.72%
1 minute later return the voltage level to the original value
1 minute later drop the voltage again
Continue for 10 minutes
 
Same thing for the other voltage changes/ rates.
 
I perform these verifications monthly.

Hi everyone...

 

I am trying to create a verification procedure for EN 61000-3-2 and -3-3.  I
am not sure how to go about it.  For emissions I use a standard noise source
which is very reliable.  However I am not aware of any standard that may exist
for verifying the test equipment and software.  Can anyone share what they do
to verify their test equipment and software?
