Hi Luke, PRF - Proof of a new International Standard.
The abbreviations AWI (approved work item) and PRF (proof) do not appear in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1: Procedures for the technical work, 1995, but have been added here to reflect the current options. AWI is only used for stage 20.00 (new project registered in TC/SC work programme) and PRF is applied in cases where projects are passing through the approval stage (50) without being subject to a FDIS ballot. Just click at abbreviations at the ISO web-page.(http://www.iso.ch/iso/en/xsite/guide.html#Abbrev) Best regards Helge Knudsen Test & Approval Niros Telecommunication Hirsemarken 5 DK-3520 Farum Tel +45 44 34 22 51 Fax +45 44 99 28 08 email [email protected] Fra: Luke Turnbull [mailto:[email protected]] Sendt: 9. januar 2004 14:55 Til: [email protected] Emne: What is an ISO PRF document? Any ideas? The question is because the next ISO 7637-2 is listed as ISO/PRF 7637-2 on the ISO website.
