Dear group, We currently ban the use of mobile phones in our lab in case the introduce spurious results in our emissions measurements. All measurements are in screened enclosures so the only possiblilities are either through imperfections in the chamber, or some "back door" way into the receiver.
I have been asked the question about whether wireless network requires a similar ban. My hunch is that the levels are much lower, but I am not an expert in this sort of technology. Does anybody have a feel for this / can give me power levels allowed by the standards?
