Hello everyone, I would like some opinions on DoC responsibilities for a Purchase for Resale product with regards to who takes legal responsibility for the product.
Company B buys an Audio Amplifier from Company X. The only change to the product is Company B's logo is added to the front of the product. The original rating label listing Company X remains on the product. Company B will receive shipment of the product, from the Mfg. Company X, and ship it into the EU......What company name should appear on the DoC and who is legally responsible for compliance to meet CE Marking requirements? Does this change if the product is shipped directly from Company B, the manufacturer to Europe? Of course Company B's Safety Department will insist on a complete TCF be provided for review to verify compliance to all the applicable directives......:)))........
