Hello EMC/PSTC friends world wide, I remember having read a few discussions last 12 months about the General Product Safety Directive (DIR 2001/95/EC) Recently (april 24th), the EC has published it's first list of 10 standards to be applied to show conformity to the GPSD. I am not fully sure if no one mentioned it this month, but i did not find such a refernce during a quick check. Please note that the GPSD is not a CE mark related directive ! This directive copes with measuring instruments such as balances for commercial purposes, taximeters, gas meters etc. Until now any EC country had it's own regulation for the approval of these types of instruments. Now this type of approval may be carried out by any accredited lab.
