Good People Have recieved several requests about the GM HALT standard, so will post to the group.
Sorry, but this is a copyrighted publication; and my employer would be really upset if I did something "criminal" on their time. I paid for and downloaded a copy. The standard is GMW8287, "Highly Accelerated Stress Screening and Auditing"; available from IHS. Also, Qualmark Corp (mfr of HALT chambers) publishes the "HALT Guideline". Although I do not agree with their philosphy of using HALT as a production QC tool (IMO, HALT is a decent QA design tool). luck, Brian -----Original Message----- From: Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2004 12:30 PM To: 'Brian O'Connell' Subject: RE: climatic testing Do you have the link to the GM HALT guideline? Do you have a copy? So I do not know what you are looking for, but here is a shot or two of some of the garbage I read... (not all are still active, but archives but be useful) sci.chem sci.environment sci.space.science sci.engr.heat-vent-ac listserv.icfconsulting.com [email protected] http://www.epa.gov/fedrgstr/subscribe.htm Also, go to google and look for HALT, HASS, and ESS. Look at the General motors HALT guideline, it became the format for my HALT policy and test procedures. luck, Brian
