Ken,
Not knowing what medical device you are talking about,
lets start with IEC 60601-1-2 2nd edition 2001-09 the
"medical electrical equipment" umbrella document.
For radiated RF electromagnetic fields (section 36.202.3,
general requirements) it calls out 3 V/m from 80 Mhz to 2.5 Ghz
@ 1 Khz AM modulation. Note, if you are life support it's
10 V/m @ 2 Hz AM modulation.
Note, IEC 60601-1-2 (section 36.202.6) also requires RF
conducted disturbances testing, (61000-4-6,) 150 Khz to 80 Mhz
@ 3 V/m. Note, life support equipment gets 10 V/m treatment
at the ISM freqs within this range.
In a past life (with Ultrasound) RF conducted immunity is
an interesting test. Contact me for further details.

Subject: medical device radiated immunity frequency range
I assume the medical device product category includes EN61000-4-3 as a
requirement. For medical devices, is EN61000-4-3 extended down to 26
MHz,
or is it the usual 80-1000 MHz?
Thank you.
