Nick, There are actually many different TUV's = in Germany, I believe there is one per "state" and they are not affiliated. Three of the German TUV's operate U.S. affiliates/spin-offs: TUV-Rheinland, TUV Product Service (formerly TUV America; I think related to TUV Bayern), and TUV-Essen. As you are in the UK, I'm not sure which applies to you. My point = To get your response you will need to identify which TUV you are working with. Side comment for Americans traveling in Europe - When traveling in Germany you will see TUV signs everywhere. The TUV's operate the government required annual auto-inspection stations = extensive annual testing of smog and more to insure that only "nice" cars are registered in Germany = I think German auto-inspections could cut our traffic in half :) Regards, Bill Bisenius E.D.& D. I've e-mailed TUV's general enquiries contact a few weeks ago but had no response. I know there are a few people in TUV who subscribe to this list - if one of you is willing to help me make contact with the right people elsewhere in TUV, could you drop me a line please.
