However, it applies to all such instruments, not just those for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, although it does include those devices. Although it does not specifically say so, it would seem quite reasonable to apply it to devices for CO2 measurement. I hope this helps. Best regards,

Could You explain me the scope of EN 50270 (EMC harmonized) standard. This standard refers to devices which measures or detects gases (combustible, toxic, oxygen). 1. Paragraph two of scope of this standard tells that this standard contains requirements for devices used in explosive or potentially explosive atmosphere. So my question is: Does this standard refer only to gas measure devices used in explosive atmosphere or to all devices used in explosive atmosphere? For example: Devices which measures temperature or humidity in explosive or potentially explosive atmosphere. 2. Does this standard refer also to devices for carbon-dioxide (CO2) measurement ?
