Can anybody please point to or advise on a definitive ruling on the use of the above. We would like to use two varistors in series between live and neutral with a GDT from the “centre tap” of the varistors to chassis ground. All components are suitably rated. The equipment in question is pluggable. The mains is fused in the live before the varistor.
