Amendment 1 is primarily a re-write of Annex C of CISPR 22. It also adds a couple of definitions in clause 3.
The ferrite clamps are being deleted as part of the changes that were approved in CISPR/I/85/CDV. We (the working group) are told that the IEC will circulate the FDIS for this major re-write of the test methods (including ditching the clamps) on November 19. Voting will close on January 21. There is a second FDIS that should be placed on the IEC web site on November 19 that will, if approved, require labs to state their equipment measurement uncertainty in test reports. Won't have to do anything with the number, just report it. After both of these FDIS documents pass (and they are expected to do so) the plan is to roll them up to create CISPR 22, 5th Edition. CENELEC will then be able to create a new version of EN 55022. Watch the OJ for interim developments. Ghery S. (1) Can anybody tell me summary of the changes in the amendment? (2) I heard that changes to the requirement for ferrite clamps for table-top setups (section 10.4) was still under discussion. Does anybody have infromation about this? Is it changed, or likely to be changed, in this or future amendments?
