If you could get away with any software having this capability, you might be able to do it with test software - but definitely not with production software. 2. The type of antenna & gain: Antennas of the same TYPE with the SAME or LOWER gain no longer require retesting (as of sometime this year, I think). NOTE - this is only for antennas of the same type. If you go from monopole to dipole or any other antenna type, you will need to perform permissive change testing. But if you go from a 3dBi dipole to a 2dBi dipole, no requirement for test. Also, it follows that if you increase the gain of the antenna, you must re-test & file a permissive change (this hasn't changed).
