Dear Zhang Guoqing, You are correct, as it stands today, DC equipment having either an input or output voltage below 75VDC is not within the scope of the LVD (73/23/EEC). This may change in the future (years not weeks), but it is the situation today. Of course, this is not the whole picture. There are many more EU Directives covering safety for specific product types (telecomms, medical equipment, etc.) These also require the CE marking to be fitted and cover safety. For consumer equipment there is the General Product Safety Directive. This does not require the fitting of the CE marking but it does, in effect, mean that you should comply with European standards for safety. Other EU Directives cover workplace safety and have safety requirements: these also do not require the CE marking to be fitted to show compliance. Just because you do not need to fit the CE marking for safety does not mean you do not need to fit the CE marking at all. The EMC Directive may well apply to your product, for instance.
