One of our products can produce dangerous voltages (5kV hipot) We recommend the use of a safety enclosure, including a light-curtain, to protect the operator. Our product includes a d-type connector for interfacing or 'interlocking' to the safety system.
My question is, can anyone point us in the direction of a symbol that we can use for that connector on our product? We currently have the words 'Safety Interlock' and a yellow warning triangle with suitable words in the manual but it would be good to have a recognised symbol (like the RS232 "10101") there too. We've looked in an IEC electronic product symbol directory, on the product and documentation of light curtains and in the archives. Maybe there is an electrical / industrial wiring symbol for a safety switch or maybe an emergency stop switch?
